About the artist
With no formal training, I began painting in 2011. The first paintings were inspired by my mariachi abuelito and the vivid colors I fell in love with on childhood visits to Mexico. Over the years the subjects of my paintings have changed, but the goal remains the same: to use simplistic imagery to express both tragedy and triumph in everyday people, objects, and experiences. Thanks for listening.
